Processing options

Choose files to start. Nothing is uploaded.

A long PDF often contains only a few pages relevant to the person receiving it. Splitting lets you create a smaller selection without printing and scanning the document again. You can extract chosen pages into one PDF, or generate a separate file for every page and download them together in a ZIP.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose one unencrypted PDF.
  2. Select range extraction or one file per page.
  3. Enter page positions when required, then process and check the downloads.

Read page numbers from the document viewer

Enter the actual page position, starting at one. A report’s printed page labels can differ from its physical order because covers or contents pages come first. If the printed introduction says page one but is the fourth page in your viewer, use four when selecting that page here.

Combine ranges and single pages

A selection such as 1-3,5 extracts the first three pages followed by page five. Entries are processed in the order written. Repeated page numbers are included only once, and reversed or out-of-bounds ranges are rejected. Use ordinary commas and hyphens rather than a word processor’s decorative dash.

Separate all pages when needed

Choose the one-PDF-per-page mode to create individual documents. This is useful for reviewing a short collection of certificates or distributing distinct worksheets. Hundreds of separate files can be inconvenient; if you only need a handful of sections, extracting a range into one document is often simpler.

Check sensitive material before sharing

Removing a page is different from securely removing information from every object in a PDF. This splitter is not a redaction, sanitization, or signature-preservation service. Inspect the new document in a PDF reader. Password-protected files are unsupported, and the page-count safeguard rejects documents above 2,000 pages.

Common questions

Can I put page five before page one?

Yes. Enter 5,1 to preserve that selected order. An ascending range itself always runs from its first endpoint to its last.

Why is my range rejected?

Check for zero, a page beyond the document’s total, a reversed interval, or an unsupported separator. The error does not alter the original file.

Can I merge the extracted pages with another PDF?

Yes. Download the selection, open the merge tool, and place it beside the other documents in your preferred sequence.
